Here at The Good Brew Company, we value sustainable produce and community-focused projects. We have a community garden located at the front of our HQ at 54 Hope St, Brunswick VIC. We have been observing the ongoing presence of herb gardens and a strong culture of sharing within the Brunswick community and are pleased to offer our patch to others. Growing fresh herbs is a fantastic addition to your diet, promoting healthy and flavourful nutrients. They offer vitamins, antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Our initiative aligns with the Grow It Local community guidelines:
“GROW: get inspired by seeing who’s growing locally & what’s under cultivation
SHARE: connect with local growers to learn and share knowledge, expertise, produce, recipes and more”
We are registered on the Moreland Council No Spray List since 2014, which is committed to minimising reliance on inorganic herbicides for the maintenance of weeds where possible and replace with environmentally-sustainable or organic alternatives. By using an organic approach to weed management, we aim to protect biodiversity and encourage flora and fauna to flourish in its natural state while deeming it safe for public use.
WHAT’S IN OUR COMMUNITY GARDEN
In this garden, you’ll find rosemary, mint, thyme and pineapple sage. These organic herbs are up for grabs to the public.
Swing by, pop in for a hello, grab a free cup of kombucha and take a handful of herbs home. Our door is open and we love meeting people from all walks of life.
